On 19th October 2018, Embassies of Czech and Slovak Republics in Georgia organised a joint jazz concert of „Fast Jazz Band“ devoted to the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia.
The celebration was really joint and common: the audience could hear the national anthems of both countries (in a way reminding the previous common anthem of common Czechoslovak state) and the following repertoire of the band comprised a lot of Czech and Slovak jazz or swing songs and melodies from 1920s to 1940s.
The concert took place in Tbilisi State Conservatory Grand Hall and hosted more than 400 guests. Their reactions confirmed that the music of interwar period – accomplished in a professional way – was very appealing and „fresh“ for both Georgian and „Czechoslovak“ attenders.
