Czech Books for the Library at Ivane Javakishvili Tbilisi State University

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi supported the newly emerging Czech Language Library at the Institute of Slavonic Studies of the Ivane Javakishvili Tbilisi State University as part of a project to support the Czech language and literature abroad in 2020
On December 15, 2020, Ambassador Petr Mikyska presented more than fifty books to representatives of the Institute, Mr. Zurab Gotsiridz and the Czech language teacher Matěj Března, including works by classics of Czech literature Bohumil Hrabal, Jan Neruda and Karel H. Borovský. Students of the Czech language, who will be the main beneficiaries of the books, will also be able to use Czech language textbooks and become acquainted with Czech philosophical, historical and geographical literature.
