The Certificates of Merit of ICEFA Lidice, together with fine arts aids, books and flowers were handed over to three young Georgian artists by Chargé d´Affaires a. i. of the Embassy Mr. Jiří Preclík. The Embassy also gave small art tools kits to eleven Georgian participants whose parents had died during Russian – Georgian conflict in 2008. These children have been accepted gratis to the art courses of Children Art Gallery of Elena Achvlediani in Tbilisi.

On the occasion of the ceremony, the Embassy was decorated by the paintings and photos of attending Georgian children. The award evening hosted not only Georgian participants of the Exhibition, but also their parents, family members, art teachers or friends. 

ICEFA Lidice is an annual exhibition established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by the Nazi regime, as well as other children who have died in wars.
