Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Uzbekistan Hynek Pejcha believes that one of the priorities in the bilateral agenda should be the sphere of tourism.
“Today, we avert the development of tourism in the Uzbek-Czech relations an important place. In the short term, we intend to increase the flow of tourists to attract Czech investments in the tourism infrastructure of Uzbekistan and enhance mutual participation in fairs and exhibitions devoted to the subject.”
The Czech Republic has a long experience in tourism and education in this area. In turn, the professional development of staff is one of the priorities of Uzbekistan, and therefore the opportunity to study in the Czech Republic is welcomed. In this regard, at a recent meeting with Chairman Uzbekturizm Farrukh Rizaev I transferred to the leadership of the company a list of Czech universities, training professionals to work in tourism sector. By the way, for those already working in the sector relevant retraining seminars or courses can be arranged outside of Uzbekistan.
Recently, the Czech Television exposure series of reports on Uzbekistan, for example, the last visit of Czech journalists was associated with the festival Asrlar Sadosi through their reports and articles, for Czechs Uzbekistan is becoming more attractive, which in turn has a positive effect on increasing the volume of mutual tourist traffic.
In my opinion, very important from the point of view of tourism, is the existence of a direct air link between Tashkent and Prague. In order to support the further growth of the number of tourists in both directions, from 8 to 10 October 2013 the Czech Airlines ČSA will take part in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair to be attended by representatives of CzechTourism and the Czech travel agencies.
In general, we regularly pay attention to tourism in the annual negotiations the Czech-Uzbek intergovernmental commission. In the future, we will do everything we can to improve the cooperation between the Czech Republic and Uzbekistan in the sphere.
