A delegation of the Constitutional Law Committee of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic paid a visit to Estonia on 12-15 May 2025. The delegation met with representatives of the Estonian government, parliament and professional institutions dealing with topics such as constitutional law, digital governance and security policy.

The delegation consisted of the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Tomáš Goláň, together with other members of the Committee, Senators Jan Holásek, Miroslav Kroc and Senator Ivana Váňová.

The key point of the agenda was a working meeting in the Estonian Parliament Riigikogu, where the functioning of the legal systems of both countries, the transparency of the legislative process and the implementation of EU law in the domestic environment were discussed.

The delegation also visited the e-Estonia Centre, where they received a detailed overview of the full digitisation of Estonian government services. Estonia has reached the milestone of 100% digitisation of all public services by the end of 2024. The use of artificial intelligence in public administration and the need to gain citizens' trust in the effective use of new technologies were also discussed.
