The Summer School of Slavic Studies

For the year 2025, the Summer School of Slavic Studies (LSS) is offering scholarships for those interested in attending summer courses focused on Slavic languages and cultures. There are two places on offer for Estonia at the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno.

Applicants can apply for a scholarship using the form on the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports website, available here.
The completed application form should be sent to the embassy or other selecting institution.
Selection and nomination of scholarship holders:
Selection of scholarship holders is carried out by the embassy or partner institution. The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport then respects the nominations.
Candidates should be of legal age and nominated to the school listed for their country.
Candidates who are not selected may be nominated as alternates, which means a high chance of placement.
For 2025, two scholarship places are on offer at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno.
Important dates:
15 March 2025: Opening of the online registration portal.
31 March 2025.
May-July 2025: Schools contact scholarship recipients and alternates.
Further instructions:
If a participant cannot attend the course, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the relevant school must be informed so that a substitute can be contacted.
