
International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice: Award Ceremony

This year, the International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice saw its 51st edition. The theme of the exhibition was DANCE, more than sixteen thousand works from 83 countries were registered, and an expert jury awarded 1,354 prizes. Seven kids from Estonia also received the diplomas.
Elina Aleško from Johvi Art School, Emily Karja, Lisanna Kolberg and Gloria Orumägi from Someru Pohikool, Daria Hanova and Milana Kristel Reim from Tallinn Art School received their diplomas from the Czech Ambassador David Král during a handover ceremony on 16 January 2023 Veronika Taratynko took part in the competition individually and was also awarded a diploma. All participants and their teachers received a small gift from the Embassy.
The International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice is a one-round competition for children from 4 to 16 years, for all types of schools and organizations working with children - kindergartens, primary schools, primary art schools, special schools, leisure centers for children and youth, children's homes, multi-year grammar schools and other secondary schools. Individuals can also participate. An expert jury, consisting of art teachers and artists, selects approximately 1,400 works for the exposition, and the awarded works are appreciated with an Honorable Mention and the best works are awarded with the Lidice Rose Medal.
The theme chosen for the 52nd International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice is CARAVAN. The deadline for entries and the last possible date on the postmark of the artworks sent to Lidice is February 28th 2024.
