Girls' Choir Datio Performed in Estonia

Girls’ choir Datio from St. Agnes Educational Secondary School and Medical Secondary School in Odry visited Estonia from 26 to 30 October 2015. Under the leadership of conductor Jiří Zajíček the choir performed three concerts.

 

The first concert took place on 27 of October 2015 in the Roman Catholic Church in Tallinn. Then the choir moved to the Saaremaa island, where it held two another concerts in Kuressaare on 29 of October 2015. Girls’ choir Datio performed in the Saaremaa Gymnasium and in the medieval Kuressaare Castle. Especially the concert in the beautiful Capitulary Hall in the medieval castle scored a success. Along with DATIO also the boys´ choir VARSAKABI of Saaremaa Gymnasium performed under the leadership of choirmaster Mari Ausmees. Cooperation between the two schools does not end with the concert and the choirs of Saaremaa Ühisgümnaasium were invited to Czech Republic for a return visit.

Girls’ choir DATIO was accompanied in the concerts by Jana Bezděková (piano), Alena Jestřebská (oboe) and David Cindler (guitar). The team under the leadership of the director of St. Agnes Educational Secondary School and Medical Secondary School in Odry Pavla Hostašová and the members of school staff also visited the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Estonia and discussed with ambassador Richard Kadlčák and his co-workers.
