Lidice Award Ceremony and Czech Day for Children

On October 8, 2017, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tallinn organized a Czech day for children at the Miiamilla children's Museum, in the frame of which the Ambassador Gabriela Tomankova awarded the Estonian winners of the Lidice Children's Fine Art Competition.
On October 8, 2017, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tallinn organized a Czech day for children at the Miiamilla children's Museum, in the frame of which the Ambassador Gabriela Tomankova awarded the Estonian winners of the Lidice Children's Fine Art Competition. The event continued with a number of activities prepared by the Czech embassy in close cooperation with the professional team of Miiamilla museum. The participants could learn about Czech culture and history through an educational quiz. For the smallest, popular Czech cartoons were shown, the older ones could learn some words and phrases at the language cafe. In addition to many other activities, the staff of Czech embassy also prepared home-made refreshments, which colorful design made a smile on the faces of many visitors. As part of this cultural event, the Museum exhibits "11 worlds" exhibition presenting eleven Czech children's illustrators and their artworks.
This exhibition will remain open to the public at the Miiamilla children's Museum in Kadriorg (L.Koidula 21c) during the whole fall.
