On the 22nd and the 23rd of January 2026, several Czech high schools had the opportunity to attend an online seminar during which the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), alongside the Czech Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, introduced the Taiwan Partner School Finder. Launched by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and developed and administered by NTUST, the platform has been widely used across Taiwan’s Asian neighbours. When it comes to Europe, however, the use has so far been limited to a few schools from a very few countries.
The event focused on introducing the Taiwan Partner School Finder (TPSF) — an official online system developed to connect Taiwanese schools with partner schools around the world and promote meaningful educational exchange.
The seminar brought together three Czech schools and a representative from one of Czech regions, creating a valuable opportunity to learn firsthand about the platform’s features and how it can help facilitate cross-border cooperation in education. Participants explored practical functions of the platform, including how to register, search for suitable partners, and initiate exchanges tailored to school needs. Moreover, the schools had the opportunity to hear the first-hand account of a Taiwanese school which has used the platform to establish meaningful connections with schools both in Asia and in France.
The TPSF platform supports various types of exchanges — from virtual collaboration and language/cultural activities to longer-term partnerships and project-based interactions — aiming to enrich global learning and strengthen international ties.
What makes this platform particularly inspiring is its strong potential to connect children from different backgrounds and cultures. By enabling schools to collaborate across borders, TPSF supports cultural exchange, language learning, and shared projects that help students broaden their perspectives, develop intercultural understanding and build friendships beyond their own communities.
The seminar highlighted how such digital tools can make international cooperation more accessible and impactful even at an early stage of education.
We extend our thanks to all participants for their engagement and look forward to seeing how our schools will utilize this platform to expand global connections, enhance international education, and build lasting partnerships.
