When it comes to local cuisine, Czechia is full of hidden gems. Meats are our specialty – be it sausages, Svickova steak, or Czech goulash, especially when paired with a sauce and potato dumplings. Our other strong point are definitely milk products. Czech´s love a good cheese, be it fried cheese (smazak) or tvaruzky from Olomouc, or just hermelin cheese paired with a cold beer. For dessert, we have a wide variety of baked goods, like kolace or cakes, but if your´re in the mood for something lighter, a sweet spa wafer from Karlovy Vary or some spiced gingerbread from Pardubice really hits the spot.

Of course, we can´t talk about Czech delicacies without mentioning beer. At Food Taipei 2025, you´ll have the chance to get your hands on Bohemia Regent, as well as Budweiser Budvar – recommended by Mr. David Steinke, CECO representative, in this interview about Czech and Taiwanese snacks! Although Czechs are famous for our beer, we actually produce great wine as well. For any wine enthusiasts, we can offer Lahofer and Krasna Hora wines, as well as a specialty – Rybizak fruit wines. If, however, you´re looking for something a bit stronger, L´Or spirits might be just the thing for you. And if alcohol isn´t really your thing, we can invite you for a cup of DARKOFF coffee, tea or chocolate.
