The information exhibition panels with texts and photos about the history of the Czechoslovak Republic, the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Czech Republic stressing above all the moment of the rise of an independent state of Czechs and Slovaks arrived at their third stop during their Taiwanese libraries journey – a smaller city of Douliu in the Yunlin County.
The Douliu Public Illustration Books Library is the gathering point namely for kids, who come here to get acquainted with the world of books, pictures and information. Thus, it made sense to combine our exhibition with the presentation of the artworks of a Czech painter and illustrator Tomas Rizek, who is well known in Taiwan.
The Deputy Representative of CECO Dita Taborska, Tomas Rizek and the Douliu city mayor Hsieh Shu-ya lead discussion with the year three and year four pupils of the nearby elementary school. The kids had a chance to take part at the illustration workshop with Mr. Rizek, which took place in the afternoon.
