The Czech Republic participated in FOOD TAIPEI 2026 with its own national pavilion for the third consecutive time, reaffirming the growing interest of Czech producers in the Taiwanese market and the increasing awareness of Czech food and beverage products among Taiwanese consumers. The pavilion was prepared with the assistance of the Czech Center Taipei and was covered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic´s project to support economic diplomacy, PROPED. The event took place from 24 to 27 June 2026 and once again provided an excellent platform for establishing business contacts, strengthening partnerships, and promoting Czech brands. 

The Czech pavilion showcased several Czech companies and brands already present on the Taiwanese market through local distributors.

Among the exhibitors were Ferdinand Brewery and the iconic Czech soft drink Kofola, presented by their Taiwanese distributor BE LUCKY Ltd. (www.czech.com.tw), which also operates the only Czech restaurant in Taipei, Divadlo. Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy freshly tapped Czech beer served through professional draft equipment manufactured by Czech company LINDR, imported to Taiwan by Navy International. Traditional Czech fruit spirits produced by Rudolf Jelínek were presented by Taiwanese distributor Ethyl Spirits, while vitamin manufacturer VITAR participated together with its local partner Health Brilliant Co., Ltd.. The Czech health and wellness sector was further represented by Dr. Müller Pharma and Megafyt Pharma, whose products were showcased by Taiwanese distributor Ethical Biotechs Co., Ltd..

In addition to the exhibiting companies, the Czech pavilion featured a wide range of other Czech products already available on the Taiwanese market. Visitors could discover Carla chocolate, Krásná Hora wines, Rybízák fruit wines, Pilsner Urquell beer, Juicee Gummee gummy candies, and professional Retigo combi ovens. A particularly positive response was received by Garage 22, a premium craft gin distilled in Prague, which is currently seeking a distributor for the Taiwanese market. 

FOOD TAIPEI continues to strengthen its position as one of Asia’s most influential food industry exhibitions. The 2026 edition was the largest in recent years, attracting nearly 1,800 exhibitors from 33 countries and featuring 21 national pavilions. The exhibition covers the entire food supply chain and serves as a key business-to-business platform connecting producers, importers, distributors, retailers, and food-service professionals from across the region.

From a Czech perspective, the most promising product categories include premium beers and spirits, functional beverages, dietary supplements, health-oriented products, specialty confectionery, premium wines, and other high-value food products capable of differentiating themselves through quality, tradition, and European provenance. The Czech participation at FOOD TAIPEI 2026 once again demonstrated that the exhibition is not only an effective venue for identifying business partners and distributors, but also an important tool for building long-term awareness of Czech food and beverage products among Taiwanese consumers and industry professionals.
