Taiwanese travel agencies discover the romantic corners of Czechia

In the second half of July 2025, as part of the Economic Diplomacy Support Project (PROPED), in cooperation with CzechTourism, we organised a thematic familiarisation trip for representatives of Taiwanese travel agencies to Czechia.

The theme of this year’s information and promotional trip for Taiwanese travel agencies was Romance and Honeymoons in Czechia, and the main aim was to introduce new places and experiences that could appeal both to newlyweds and couples seeking unique romantic experiences in the heart of Europe. For Taiwanese newlyweds it is typical to spend honeymoons abroad. They are looking for original locations, unconventional activities and experiences that they will keep not only in their memories, but also via professional photographs. Wedding photo‑albums are very important in Taiwanese culture – couples often return to them even after many years. At the same time many couples plan further trips to destinations they visited during their honeymoon.

The trip’s program was designed to show the Taiwanese partners not only well‑known places, but especially new places and new products that had so far been missing from their offers. The itinerary included:
Central Bohemia region: Loučeň Castle, Chateau Mcely, Hotel Sen, Ratměřice Chateau
Vysočina region: the castles of Telč, Třešť, Žďár nad Sázavou and the Blatiny farm estate in Sněžné
Prague: hotels Andaz, Four Seasons, Almanac × Alcron

Representatives of the travel agencies had the opportunity to inspect high‑quality hotels suitable for demanding clients, they took part in shortened tours of monuments and other interesting places, tried experience programs inspired by Czech traditions and sampled regional gastronomy. Everything was conceptualised so that new locations and experiences could be immediately incorporated into commercial itineraries for clients from Taiwan.
