Czechia´s second participation in the International Wine & Liquor Promotion 2025
On December 12, 2025, the prestigious International Wine & Liquor Promotion 2025 (IWLP) took place at the Regent Hotel in Taipei, marking the Czechia´s second participation in this proinent annual event. The event, organized by the local Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), provides an excellent platform for promoting foreign wines and spirits to the Taiwanese market.
The Czech participation was made possible through a collaboration of the Czech Economic and Cultural Office (CECO) with the National Wine Center (NVC), which carefully selected a range of wineries that represent both the tradition and modern trend of Czech winemaking. This year, the event featured some of the wineries that impressed at the previous year´s event, including Vinařství Škrobák, Syfany, and Vinné sklepy Kutná Hora, as well as the new addtion of Vinařství Válka.
In addition to wines, we also showcased Garage 22 Gin.
The event was a resounding success, with 700 professional visitors who had the opportunity to taste Czech wines and spirits, deepening their appreciation for these quality products in Taiwan´s growing market.
Private Tasting Event: A step towards stronger partnership
The day before the main event, we hosted a private tasting at the Czech restaurant Divadlo in Taipei, inviting key industry professionals to join us. Eight companies focusing on alcohol distribution attended this more informal format, allowing for deeper presentations of the products and fostering personal interactions with potential business partners.
We believe that both events will convert initial interest in Czech products into concrete sales in Taiwan. Taiwan offers a great business potential, but continuous effort in promoting Czech wines and spirits is essential. Local consumers are open to new brands, which present both a challenge and an opportunity for Czech companies.
Both events were held with the support of Czech Centre Taipei.
Discover Czech wines: Tradition meets modernity
Czech wines have long been recognized for their rich heritage and distinctive flavors. Among the stars of the event was Pálava, a unique grape variety native to Czechia, known for its fresh, fruity, and aromatic characteristics. Visitors also showed significant interest in Pét Nat wines – an exciting, naturally sparkling wine style that combines tradition with a modern twist. It´s clear that the growing curiosity about Czech wines offers tremendous potential for further exploration and growth in Taiwan´s market. With the positive reception of our products, we are confident that Czech wines and spirits will continue to make their mark in Taiwan, and we are excited for what the future holds!
