Czech Participation at Food Taipei 2025 – Showcasing Czech Flavours to the Taiwanese Public

The Czech Republic participated for the third time in the prestigious international trade fair Food Taipei, which welcomed nearly 48,000 visitors from 84 countries in 2025. The aim was to raise awareness of Czech quality and establish new business opportunities in the promising Taiwanese market. The Czech presence received a very positive response, and participation is already being planned for 2026.

This year marked the third time Czechia took part in the Food Taipei trade fair. The Czech booth, supported by the Czech Center in Taipei as part of the PROPED project (Projects in Support of Economic Diplomacy), had two main objectives: to support products already successfully present on the Taiwanese market and to introduce new promising items with the potential to further penetrate this dynamic market. Ahead of the event, Czech food and beverage products were promoted through a short video and an interview with Mr. David Steinke, Representative of the Czech Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei. The video was produced by TAITRA and can be viewed here

The following Czech brands and their Taiwanese distributors were showcased at the Czech booth:

Budvar Beer – distributor: Brandwerk

Rybízák Fruit Wine – distributor: Best Fish

Vitar Vitamins – distributor: Health Brilliant

Lahofer Wine – distributor: Bluetouch

Bohemia Regent Beer – distributor: Bluetouch

• L’Or Spirits – distributor: Bluetouch

Lifebar Protein Bars

Šimandl Instant Beverages

Thanks to high foot traffic at the booth, it's clear that Czech products attracted considerable interest – a promising sign for future business prospects.

Food Taipei 2025 took place from 25 to 28 June 2025 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (Halls 1 & 2). With a total of 1,219 exhibitors (877 domestic and 342 international), and 2,828 booths, it remains the largest food-related trade fair in Taiwan. Food Taipei is one of five trade shows held simultaneously under the “Mega Shows” umbrella, which includes: FoodTech Taipei, Bio/PharmaTech Taiwan, Taipei Pack, Taiwan Horeca. The “Mega Shows” attracted 47,885 visitors from 84 countries and regions, with Food Taipei traditionally being the most visited among them.

Future Outlook
We believe that the Czech food and beverage offering made a strong impression on both Taiwanese consumers and professionals, laying a solid foundation for further export activities. The fair attracted highly qualified professionals from around the world, reaffirming that the market is full of opportunities – not only in consumer products, but also in technology and machinery.
In December 2025, Czech products – this time exclusively alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, spirits) – will again be featured at a prestigious tasting event organised by the Taipei Importers and Exporters Association (IEAT).

As for Food Taipei 2026, our plans are clear - Czech participation will continue, with the aim to: strengthen partnerships with Taiwanese business counterparts and establish new B2B connections.
