Opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Nuku´alofa

The Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Nuku´alofa, Kingdom of Tonga, is opened as of 28 November 2022.
The Honorary Consulate helps Czech citizens visiting Nuku´alofa, Kingdom of Tonga, provide assistance in consular agenda such as providing consular assistance to Czech citizens in need, handing over passports, etc. The Honorary Consulate also represents the Czech Republic in the field of business and culture. It is closely linked to the local community and cooperate with local authorities on all levels.
The official opening was attended by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Australia Tomáš Dub and Consul-General of the Czech Republic in Sydney Zuzana Slováková in the presence of the Premier of the Kingdom of Tonga, the Speaker of the Parliament, members of the royal family and around 40 significant guests from the diplomatic corps and local political and economic circles.
Ms Robina Nakao, who lives in Nuku´alofa, will be carrying out her duties as the new Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Nuku´alofa for a term of 5 years.
