The ceremonial opening took place at the premises of the Czechoslovak Club in South Australia and was attended by approximately 50 guests. Among them were representatives of the Government of South Australia (the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), local authorities and cultural institutions, members of the South Australian Consular Corps, members of the extended committee of the Czechoslovak Club in South Australia, the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Sydney, Ms Hana Flanderová, and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Australia, Mr Jan Juchelka.

The principal guest representing the Australian side was the Minister for Trade and Investment of South Australia, Hon Joe Szakacz, who delivered a short address. In his remarks, he highlighted the excellent cooperation with the Czech community in South Australia and recalled the visit of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, in 2024, whom he met personally. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining an official presence of the Czech Republic in South Australia through an active Honorary Consulate, which plays a significant role not only in the development of bilateral trade relations, but also in cooperation in the fields of science and research, artificial intelligence, and other prospective areas.

During the ceremonial part of the opening of the Honorary Consulate, Mr Jan Juchelka presented the consular patent and exequatur to Ms Kateřina Taylor.

The ceremony was also attended by the former Honorary Consul, Ms Věra Holt.
