12th Annual Czech and Slovak Film Festival in Sydney | 2 – 6 April 2025

The Czech and Slovak Film Festival in Sydney will be returning to Dendy Newtown from the 2 – 6 April 2025. This year’s festival will once again feature a range of new releases of a variety of genres, many of which will be shown for the first time in Australia – from dramas, thrillers and romances, to comedies, fairytales and documentaries, and of course, short films, as has become a trademark of the festival.

The festival will get going with screening of the period drama WAVES / VLNY directed by Jiří Mádl, which explores the events of 1968 through the lens of journalists at Czechoslovak Radio.

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sydney is proud to be a long term supporter of the festival. We look forward to seeing you at one of the films of the 12th Annual Czech and Slovak Film Festival in Sydney.
