The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sydney was shocked by the news of the tragic events at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. According to information provided by Czech police, 14 people tragically died and 25 were injured in the shooting in the building of Charles University in Prague.
Our thoughts, deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy goes out to all families and friends of the innocent victims of this horrific and senseless act.
The Czech Government has declared Saturday December 23, 2023 a day of mourning. The flags at the Consulate General were flown at half-mast in honour of the memory of all victims of this tragedy.
