On Thursday 13 June 2024 the Consul-General of the Czech Republic in Sydney Zuzana Slováková took part in a pre-event marking the opening of the comprehensive exhibition of works of Alphonse Mucha “Spirit of Art Nouveau“.
Along with key representatives of the gallery, the great-great grandson of Alphonse Mucha, Marcus Mucha, also attended the event.
The exhibition, which is running from 15 June until 22 September 2024, presents a variety of works by Alphonse Mucha – from large-scale illustrations all the way to film and advertising posters and designs for packaging of day-to-day items.
It is the most comprehensive exhibition ever in Australia of the works of the most significant Czech artist of the Art Nouveau period – an opportunity, which is not to be missed.
