Minister of Foreign Affairs T. Petříček Visited Stockholm

Ministr of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček visited Stockholm on September 9, upon the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Mrs. Margot Wallström.
The first item on his program was the exhibition The Pink Tank: Constantly Striving for Democracy commemorating 30 years ater the Czechoslovak Velvet Revolution and the fall of Iron Curtain. Minister Petříček opened the exhibition together with Göran Färm from the Kommuninvest organization and the famous Swedish Actress Lena Endre, in the presence of the diplomatic corps and Swedish public.
During his visit, minister Petříček met the Swedish Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist, Minister for International Trade Ann Linde, and the Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén. He was also privately received by the resigning Minister for Foreign Affairs Margot Wallström.
With his Swedish counterparts, he discussed trade cooperation, security cooperation (including transatlantic cooperation and cooperation within the EU, such as PESCO etc), defense industry cooperation, new threats, the EU multiannual financial framework, Brexit, Eastern Partnership or Western Balkans, and many other topics of common interest.
In conclusion of his visit, minister Petříček attended a reception with Czech expats in Sweden at the Czech Embassy in Stockholm.
