Due to the limited available time, only a short teaser of what Östergötland could offer was presented in the field of green technologies and innovative solutions for the sustainable society. However, Östergötland could offer very good prospects for cooperation in many areas also beyond the green technologies.

Business areas of certain excellence of the region includes simulation and visualization technology, advanced materials and printed electronics, aerospace industry and aircraft manufacturing (both civil and military applications), smart and robust connected products and systems (i.e. for internet security and integrated communication), business models for sustainable system solutions (circular economy and waste-to-energy), sustainable pulp/paper production, agriculture, and innovative green industries.
