Bulgaria will work to increase the share of foreign investors, including those from the Czech Republic, by creating a stable and predictable legal environment. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Innovation Martin Danovski during the first official presentation of the Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce in Sofia.
The first public presentation of the newly established Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce took place on February 20, 2025, in Sofia. The event was attended by H.E. Miroslav Toman, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bulgaria, Deputy Minister of Innovation Mr Martin Danovski and business representatives. The President of the Chamber, Mr. Maxim Behar, highlighted Bulgaria's development potential in various sectors, while Deputy Minister Danovski underlined that the main goal is to create a favourable environment for mutual investments and to increase the competitiveness of both economies. On behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria, Ambassador Toman expressed full support for the activities of the Chamber and for the strengthening of Bulgarian-Czech economic relations.
The Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce was established at the end of 2024 with the aim of bringing together companies interested in bilateral business ventures, providing support, advice and opportunities for cooperation. The Chamber's mission is to facilitate business relations between the two countries by helping Czech companies to invest in Bulgaria and Bulgarian companies to enter the Czech market.
