Czech Companies Shine at the Architectural Building Week in Sofia

Last week Sofia hosted 26th edition of Architectural Building Week, a major international trade fair for the construction industry, where Czech companies once again had a strong presence. Thanks to coordination provided by the CzechTrade agency, Czech exhibitors could present their innovations at a unified national stand, underscoring the continued competitiveness and technological strength of the Czech construction sector.

This year’s edition placed a strong emphasis on energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable building solutions, with total number of participants at the Inter Expo Center reaching 212 exhibitors. Among the event’s institutional partners were the Bulgarian Chamber of Construction, the Bulgarian Association of Construction Insulation Manufacturers, and the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy.

The following companies were featured at the fair as part of the Czech national stand organized by the CzechTrade export-promoting agency:

Bemeta: The supplier of bathroom equipment and accessories introduced its new product: a dispenser for hygiene products intended for schools.

Berndorf Bäderbau: A company that specializes in turnkey swimming pool construction. It offers comprehensive solutions for the design and implementation of pools. Among its specialties are titanium pools designed for use with salt water.

Euro Sitex: The company demonstrated its wide-ranging production capabilities, which include fences, rubber screens, and conveyor belts. Euro Sitex is recognized as a leader in its field and continues to enhance the reputation of Czech industry abroad.

Inels: Presented its portfolio of smart building technologies, focusing on modern thermoregulation systems. The company continues to expand its offering of wireless automation solutions for energy-efficient homes and commercial buildings.

TechniStone: An established manufacturer of engineered stone exhibited materials designed for kitchens and interior applications.

The trade fair took place amid continued growth in Bulgaria’s construction sector, which recorded a 4.0% year‑on‑year increase. Building construction remains the strongest contributor, expanding by 6.6%. The construction industry accounts for 3.7% of Bulgaria’s GDP and employs more than 133,000 people. Based on this data, it can be expected that the demand for innovative solutions and closer collaboration between architects, engineers and contractors will continue to grow in the future.
