As noted by Michal Rendla, Deputy Director General of the Industrial Cooperation Section of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, the effort to achieve greater consolidation between our countries in the defence and security industry is one of the main reasons behind the event. According to him, the chosen platform provides the necessary space for direct dialogue between Czech and Bulgarian partners, offering great potential for the future - both in terms of deepening bilateral cooperation and contributing jointly to strengthening European security.

The first Czech-Bulgarian presentation of defence and security technologies was organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria as a project of economic diplomacy, with significant contributions from the Defense and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP) and the Bulgarian Defense Industry Association (BDIA). More than 100 representatives of Bulgarian companies and institutions attended the event. The Czech defense industry was represented by 12 companies, offering a representative cross-section of the entire sector. These companies included:  Colt CZ Group, ERA, Excalibur Army, Forscope, Helicopter Alliance, JISR, Katring, Phonexia, Schaeffler, SVOS, TOVEK, VOP CZ. 

The forum was followed by a series of events, including a live demonstration of Colt CZ Group products - with the opportunity to test them directly at a shooting rangе - and a visit by the Czech delegation to the production facilities of selected Bulgarian companies.
