Official visit of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš in North Macedonia

Between the 10.-11. of June 2019, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, paid an oficial visit to North Macedonia. He was accompanied by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Miloslav Stašek, Police President Jan Švejdar, Director of the Asylum and Migration Department of the Ministry of Interior, Pavla Novotná, and others.
 

The first part of his agenda was a working breakfast with the Deputy Prime Minister Kočo Angjušev, responsible for economic affairs, Minister of Economy Krešnik Bekteš, Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski and Minister of Agriculture, Ljupčo Nikolovski.

The main point of his agenda was a meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev. Together with Prime Minister Zaev were present at the meeting Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski (Minister of Interior), Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bujar Osmani or Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrej Žernovski. In the following courtesy call, Prime Minister Babiš met with the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Talat Džaferi.

In the last part of his stay, Prime Minister visited a border crossing in Bogorodice and reception centre Vinojug. Afterwards, Babiš encountered with Czech policemen who together with their North Macedonian colleagues patrol the southern border of the country.
