Establishment of the Czech-Singapore Committee at the Czech Chamber of Commerce

On Thursday 7 October 2021, the Czech-Singapore Chamber of Commerce held a celebratory event on the occasion of the establishment of the Czech-Singapore Committee at the Czech Chamber of Commerce.

In the presence of 116 guests from the members of the Czech-Singapore Chamber of Commerce and friends of Singapore, Mr. Vladimír Dlouhý, President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, delivered the opening speech. He highlighted Singapore as a business and financial centre of global importance, praised the reopening of the Czech Embassy in Singapore and outlined future challenges in mutual relations, in particular the reciprocal opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in the Czech Republic.

According to the President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Vladimír Dlouhý, the establishment of the Czech-Singapore Committee at the Chamber of Commerce is an important step towards strengthening bilateral trade cooperation between the Czech Republic and Singapore. At the same time, the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic enters into a new cooperation with the Czech-Singapore Chamber of Commerce and newly ranks Singapore among the 14 priority countries for the expansion of Czech business. The establishment of the committee comes at a time of intensified Czech-Singapore relations at the political and diplomatic level.

Mr. Marcel Bednar, President of the Czech-Singapore Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Czech-Singapore Committee at the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
