The children began the visit with a lovely surprise, performing a dance for the Ambassador. She then introduced herself and explained in a simple and engaging way what her work involves and how an embassy functions.

Embassy staff subsequently presented the Czech Republic through the theme of the four seasons. Through a presentation full of colourful images, the children discovered what the Czech Republic looks like in different seasons, what animals live there, which traditional foods are enjoyed, and what holidays and traditions are celebrated throughout the year.

The presentation was followed by a fun quiz that tested what the children had learned about the Czech Republic. Those who answered correctly received small prizes, including the popular Czech toy figure Igráček.

At the end of the programme, the children had an opportunity to ask questions. They were particularly interested in Czech words and asked, for example, how to say “Charles Bridge” and “Prague Castle” in Czech. To commemorate the visit, they also presented the Ambassador with a beautiful drawing they had created themselves.
