
Ambassador Froňková presented honorary mentions for participation in the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice

On 7th April 2022, Ambassador Michaela Froňková visited Marsiling Secondary School to recognize students for their artistic creations submitted to the 49th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice. This year's very topical theme was "Robot and Artificial Intelligence". The ceremony was attended by the school principal and the head art teacher, who also gave the ambassador a tour of the school grounds.
In total four students of Marsiling Secondary School were recognised after they submitted their artwork to the 49th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice. The 2021 exhibition edition had "Robot and Artificial Intelligence" as its theme, which is very topical especially in Singapore. Even more so that it provided the necessary inspiration for two students that were awarded Honourable Mentions by the international jury: Mohammed Nurhidayat Bin Amirnuddin and Wei Xian Andrea Poh. Other two students received Mme Ambassador's Special Recognition: Chia Zheng Xi Aven, Goh Le Xuan.
The ceremony was also attended by the school Principal, Mr Goh Aik Choon, and the Lead Art Teacher, Mr Zaki Zulfakar. Ambassador Froňková said at the event: "I am very happy that Czechia has given the world the word robot, thanks to the famous writer Karel Čapek and his visionary play R.U.R, which was definitely ahead of its time in dealing with the future of robotic work and its implications on our human world. It's great that thanks to the International Human Competition, children all over the world, including here in Singapore, are now learning about the history of the word and are being able to work with it creatively."
