The official closing and handover of the small local project took place at Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem on 21 October 2022. As part of the project, the Czech Republic supported the purchase of vital signs monitors for the neonatal intensive care unit.
The closing ceremony took place in presence of the Head of the Representative Office of the Czech Republic in Ramallah Mr. Jakub Šlosárek, Ms. Michele Bowe, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta, which runs the hospital, and Mr. Gilles Normand, Director of the hospital. Holy Family Hospital is the largest maternity hospital in Bethlehem, and operates one of the largest neonatal intensive care units in Palestine. As a result, cases of high-risk pregnancies from outside the Bethlehem governorate concentrate here. The monitors are already serving their purpose and helping to save premature babies.
