On 21 April 2021, the Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Kosovo, Mr Pavel Bílek, handed over the Czech Development Cooperation aid worth more than 16 thousand euros to the Kosovo Association of the Blind.
The donated facilities will be used to teach blind and partially sighted children at the Xheladin Deda Resource Center in Peja. Kosovo's Minister of Education, Science, Technologiy and Innovation, Ms Arbërie Nagavci, took part in the ceremony. In her speech, she thanked the Czech Republic for providing help to blind children.  

The implementation of this joint project began on 9 March 2021 by signing of an agreement between the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Kosovo Association of the Blind, of which the Center for Blind Children is a member. It is the only institution in Kosovo specializing in education and assistance to blind and partially sighted children from preschool age up to young people of high school age. Thanks to Czech financial aid, its students can start to use new braille machines, organizers and also a new braille printer already in this school year.
