
Conference "Together for Social Inclusion in Kosovo"

The Czech non-governmental organization Counselling for Citizenship/Civil and Human Rights, z.s. (Poradna pro občanství/Občanská a lidská práva, z.s.) organized on 12 December 2018 in Pristina conference "Together for Social Inclusion in Kosovo". The Czech NGO was in the conference represented by its Executive Director Mr. Miroslav Dvořák. This conference was the final activity of the project "Together for Social Inclusion in Kosovo", financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic under the Transformation Co-operation Program for 2018. The project was implemented by the Czech non-governmental organization Counselling for Citizenship/Civil and Human Rights, z.s. in cooperation with the local NGO Civil Rights Program of Kosovo. The Pristina Conference was attended by representatives of public administration and representatives of the non-governmental sector in Kosovo. The opening speech was also presented by the head of the Czech Embassy in Kosovo Mr. Pavel Bílek.
The project aimed at improving the social and legal status of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians in Kosovo through the effective implementation of the Social Inclusion Strategy of the Roma and Ashkali Communities (2017-2021). At the conference were presented the findings of workshops that took place in Pristina and Prizren this May, as well as of a study trip to the Czech Republic.
The representatives of the two organizations implementing the project, together with the head of the Czech Embassy Pavel Bílek attended a dinner organized by the Kosovo Ombudsman Mr. Hilmi Jashari
