
Czech Ambassador paid tribute to deceased Czech soldiers

On September 14, 2016 the Czech Ambassador Ivo Šilhavý, and the members of the Czech contingent of KFOR paid tribute to the deceased Czech soldiers close to the ex-Czech military base of Šajkovac, where the memorial was situated. The wreath laying ceremony was followed by a minute of silence in order to honor the remembrance.
The members of the first Czechoslovak battalion of KFOR, staff sergeant Mr. Luděk Severa and a senior staff sergeant Mr. Vlastislav Hendrich, deceased during an incident of armored personnel carrier OT-64. Fourteen years ago, the former Czech members of KFOR started the tradition of mourning acts that has been followed until these days.
The Czech Ambassador visited the ex-Czech military base of Šajkovac, where he paid tribute to the deceased Slovak soldiers as well.
