The scope of consular services the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh includes in particular:

VERIFICATION AGENDA

Signature verification

Due to personal presence, it is necessary to book an appointment by e-mail or phone. It is necessary to show a valid identity document – ID card, passport.

Higher verification/superlegalization

Documents to be verified can be delivered at any time during consular hours. A representative may also be authorized to arrange for the verification. Prerequisite for the Higher verification/superlegalization is prior authorization of the document by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The original Khmer document must be authorized and attached (and sealed together) with an English translation provided by the Ministry.

 Translation (Czech-English / English-Czech)

The Embassy only translates standardized Czech or Cambodian official documents, e.g. birth certificate, marriage certificate, criminal record. To translate longer and more complex documents, it is necessary to use the services of professional translators. List of interpreters and translators with a valid licence to practise as of 1 January 2026.

 

CIVIL REGISTER AGENDA

Due to personal presence, it is necessary to make an appointment by e-mail or phone. In order to ensure optimal handling of the required consular acts, it is advisable to consult them with us in advance, preferably by e-mail, in terms of content and date.

 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh is, unfortunately, not equipped with systems for the execution of the visa agenda.

  • Therefore, please note that the visa agenda in the field of short-term (up to 90 days) Schengen visas for the Czech Republic in Cambodia is carried out by the French Embassy in Phnom Penh.

In case of applying for a Schengen visa at the French Embassy in Phnom Penh, applicants follow the instructions of the embassy concerned. Before submitting the application, it is necessary to book a date for submission and at the same time prepare the documents for the visa application in advance. This application must be accompanied by other documents that are required for the processing of the visa application (e.g. a document proving family ties with the EU citizens - marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.)

 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh does not yet provide the performance of the standard agenda of Czech travel documents - e-passports.

If it is necessary to apply for a new Czech Republic passport, it is possible to use the services of our colleagues, for example from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok, Thailand, or some other neighboring countries. The Czech Republic in Phnom Penh is issuing Czech emergency travel document or EU emergency travel document.

These hours are primarily used to handle the verification agenda. In case of urgent cases, of course, please contact us as needed. Also, if you need an individual date for the verification act, please contact us, preferably by e-mail.
