Official documents issued in Canada have to be affixed with apostille for its use in the CR. Without the apostille, Czech authorities will not recognize a Canadian official document as valid. As of January 11, 2024, the superlegalization process was replaced by an apostille, which is issued by Canadian authorities only. The validity of documents that were affixed with a superlegalization clause before this date is not affected.
If you have your document authenticated by a competent Canadian authority before January 11, 2024, you can still submit this document to our Embassy for its superlegalization.
Submission: in person (prior appointment necessary, for appointment send an email to consular_ottawa@embassy.mzv.cz) or by post.
The following must be submitted to the consular section for superlegalization in person: prior appointment necessary, for appointment send an email to Ottawa.Consulate@mzv.gov.cz
