Please take note that honorary consulates can offer limited services only.

 The main consular services provided by the Vancouver consulate are:

1. verifications (copy, signature, translation);
2. issuing of emergency travel passports to Czech citizens;
3. handing over of new Czech passports;
4. helping Czech citizens in emergency situation;
5. verification of signature on application forms, such as citizenship form, registry form, criminal record check form, cancellation of the permanent residence in the CR form.

Honorary consulates are not entitled to deal with registry and citizenship issues - in exceptional cases, due to considerable geographical distances, honorary consul can verify the signatures of the applicant on applications forms. Honorary consul is not responsible for the correctness of submitted applications and it is therefore necessary for applicants to contact the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ottawa with all questions they may have regarding their registry and citizenship application.

The honorary consulate is not entitled to accept passport applications and applications for visas or stay permit to the CR.

The Czech Honorary Consulate in Vancouver falls under the jurisdiction of the Czech Embassy in Ottawa. The  jurisdiction of this consulate covers the territory of British Columbia, excluding Vancouver Island. The Czech Honorary Consulate in Victoria will continue provide its services for residents of Vancouver Island.
