Presentation of Czech Universities at EHEF 2016

Following the successful mission of the rectors of the universities in India in the year 2014, prepared by the Czech Embassy in Delhi, in cooperation with the House of international co-operation of the Ministry of education, youth and sports of the CR the participation of seven universities from the Czech Republic on the European higher education fair EHEF INDIA 2016. The fair took place from  30. September and 1. October 2016, from 11 am to 7 pm at Exhibition Centre  in halls 8, 9 and 10. in the Indian capital, Delhi, Pragati Maidan.

On 29  September 2016, the day before the fair, held a Conference on the cooperation of the European Union and India in the field of higher education. The Conference took place in the  Conference Centre of the India Habitat Centre and inauguration was done by Deputy Prime Minister of the capital Delhi Manish Sisodia.

Among more than one hundred European universities are introduced, seven high school from Czech Republic were presented to encourage Indian students to chose CR for their higher education. Their presentation mediated by Embassy in New Delhi, in cooperation with the House of international co-operation of the Ministry of education, youth and sports of the Czech Republic.

At EHEF INDIA were represented by the following Czech universities:

Had its own stand at the fair and the Czech Embassy in New Delhi, which provide general information about the possibilities of studying in the Czech Republic, the cost of living and how to apply for a student visa

Fair inaugurated State Minister for Foreign Affairs of India M. J. Akbar along with EU Ambassador in India, Tomasz Kozlowskim, with the participation of the ambassadors of the EU Member States and other important guests.

In addition to the Conference, 29. September 2016, 30. September and 1. October 2016 in three different halls took place the presentation of the individual universities.

EHEF India 2016 was organized to gain more footfall of Indian student in upcoming semesters and encourage them to choose study in CR. During the fair, media contributed their support by a special coverage on EU countries.

 For those students interested in studying in the Czech Republic, who could not come to Delhi, was organized a two-day virtual trade fair of European higher education. Webinar, through which they can obtain the necessary information from the representatives of universities via the internet.

Czech Embassy in New Delhi on its stand promoted the initiative Study in the Czech Republic..

Charles University on its stand promoted the initiative to Study in Prague.
