Small Local Project in Sri Lanka for 2018

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic approved one small local development project in Sri Lanka for 2018. The project called "Safe Water Management and Home Gardening in the Un-resourced Schools " will be realized by FRIENDS OF YOUTH ORGANIZATION (FOYO). The project is supported by 485, 981.00 CZK.
The project will be implemented in 25 basic and grammar schools in two areas that are affected by drought, where people have very limited access to safe drinking water. The aim of the project is to build a water collection system and organize workshops on waste water treatment and the use of waste water for small-scale agriculture.
