Ambassador David Konecký presented his credentials to NATO Secretary General

David Konecký has formally taken up the post of Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to NATO. Until recently, he has served as Director General of the Security and Multilateral Section and as Foreign Policy Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. 

 

On 4 September 2024, according to protocol, he met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and presented his credentials before his first meeting at the North Atlantic Council. The new Ambassador praised the Secretary General's many years of work on behalf of the Alliance. Thanks to it, NATO is ready for present and future security threats and challenges, according to Ambassador Konecký.

The new Ambassador identifies as a key priority of his term to ensure that the Czech Republic is perceived as a reliable, responsible and ambitious Ally his key priority.
