The concert, which took place on September 22, 2018 (Saturday) in Abelardo Hall Auditorium, UP College of Music, featured piano ensemble, piano trio works and art songs by composers from the Czech Republic (Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák), Hungary (Franz Liszt), Poland (Frédéric Chopin) and Slovakia (Alexander Moyzes) to be interpreted by the UP College of Music Keyboard Department Faculty and the Lozada Piano Trio.

The concert aimed at commemorating the of 45^th anniversary establishment of diplomatic relations between the Visegrad countries and the Philippines and the remarkable progress of bilateral relationship since its establishment in 1973. The substantive bilateral cooperation in various areas has yielded remarkable outcomes especially in the area of , bringing tangible benefits to both peoples (especially the cooperation in tourism, culture and education).

The concert helped to create an understanding for the cultural traditions of Central Europe and promoting classical music in the Philippines and enriching the substance of bilateral ties. Some of the world’s greatest composers were born in Central Europe (apart of Chopin, Liszt, Dvořák and Smetana for example also Mozart or Beethoven) and their musical masterpieces are a legacy treasured by locals and visitors alike.
