Students, employees, applicants for temporary/permanent residence – Citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland who before 31 12. 2020 verifiably:
- - applied for temporary/permanent residence or
- - studied at Czech universities or
- - were employed in the Czech Republic
and who are not yet holders of the Certificate of Temporary Residence or the Permanent Residence Permit, can arrive to the Czech Republic on a visa-free basis based on a confirmation for entry issued by the MFA.
The validity of this confirmation is one month, and it allows its holder to enter the Czech Republic only once, provided that no other impediments to entry and stay in the Czech Republic are established during the passport control. Its purpose is to enable foreigners to travel to the Czech Republic in order to obtain the Certificate of Temporary Residence or the Permanent Residence Permit. Therefore, the confirmation issued by MFA does not entitle foreigners to enter the Czech Republic repeatedly.
KINDLY FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. SEND AN E-MAIL to vo3@mzv.cz, containing the following (depending on the situation):
- - confirmation that you have submitted the application for the Certificate of Temporary Residence or the Permanent Residence Permit, or a confirmation of studies at a Czech university or a confirmation od employment (employment contract, confirmation from the employer, etc.)
- - filled-out Affidavit on residency in the Czech Republic (study / employment purpose) before December 31, 2020.
2. AWAIT A REPLY. Persons who submit the required documents will receive the confirmation in most cases in up to one week.
3. SUBMIT THE CONFIRMATION UPON ARRIVAL TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC DURING PASSPORT CONTROL. The confirmation does not guarantee passage in transit – transit conditions must be verified with the respective authority of the state through which the transit will take place and with the transportation carrier.
4. GET TESTED BEFORE DEPARTURE. RT-PCR test should be issued by a certified laboratory in the UK and cannot be older than 72 hours.
5. OBSERVE QUARANTINE MEASURES stipulated in the Protective Measure of the Ministry of Health. It is especially required to fill out a form (www.prijezdovyformular.cz) before travelling and get tested for COVID-19 (RT-PCR test), not earlier than on the fifth day after arrival.
