We sadly announce that the former Czech Honorary Consul of Belfast, Milan Mládek, aged 92 passed away on 4 May 2023.
Milan Mládek and his parents emigrated more than 70 years ago. They settled in Northern Ireland, where they first formed a successful textile firm and later created a real estate business. Mr. Mládek served as a Czech Honorary Consul of Northern Ireland from 2007 to 2021. During this time, he helped many Czech citizens and businesses with matters of all kinds. Representation of the Czech Republic in Northern Ireland by personalities of his calibre was and is invaluable.
