The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Manchester has prepared a series of lectures and discussions with the commentator, university educationalist and musician Jan Macháček as part of the celebration of the 30^th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. He held discussions with students and fellow citizens at universities in Manchester, Sheffield, and Glasgow from 4^th to 6^th November. Over a hundred guests attended.

This series of lectures took place with the support of the University of Manchester Czech and Slovak Society, Czech and Slovak Society in Sheffield and Glasgow Slovak & Czech Society.
