Digital nomad, which for the purposes of implementing the Program means:

- Employee of a foreign employer - a foreign national who works for a foreign business entity or public sector institution and continues to work remotely in the Czech Republic for an extended period using telecommunications means. Such an employee must perform highly qualified work in the field of IT or marketing. Throughout this arrangement, the foreign national remains employed by their foreign employer and does not enter into an employment relationship under Czech law.

- Freelancer – a foreigner who is or will be a holder of a Czech business license for the following fields of activity: IT-related business or marketing services.

The closest family members of digital nomads, i.e. the spouse, registered partner and child of a foreign national or his/her spouse or partner, can also be included in the Program, provided that they apply for a residence permit at the same time.

 

Digital nomads admitted to the Program are granted:

- an opportunity to submit their long-term visa/long-term residence permit application at the Embassy/consulate of the Czech Republic abroad. The same opportunity is given to their closest family members;

- processing their long-term visa/long-term residence permit application form within 45 days from its submission.

 

There is no legal entitlement to participation in the Program.
