VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles is seeking to recruit a reliable and skilled Driver/Handyman for the Consulate.

Position: Driver/Handyman

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and legal status in the USA
  • Clean Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record
  • Driving experience in Los Angeles
  • Strong handyman skills (assembly, repairs, painting, gardening, and minor electrical work)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an international team
  • Solution-oriented approach and flexibility

Job Description

  • Daily driving for official duties, meetings, airport transfers, and errands to local offices and shops
  • Vehicle care, including cleaning, fueling, maintenance, insurance coordination, and record-keeping
  • Basic repairs and upkeep of an official residence (one house)
  • Assembly work, minor repairs, painting, small electrical tasks, and garden maintenance
  • Assistance during official events (setup, technical support, and transportation)
  • Professional communication and punctuality at all times

Employment Conditions

  • Part-time position (50% workload)
  • 13 days of annual leave
  • Three-month probationary period
  • Long-term, stable employment
