The Foreign Service has been my professional home since 1997, and Los Angeles already holds a very special place in my heart, as I had the privilege of serving here once before from 1997 to 2001. Returning to California feels in many ways like coming home, and I am excited to reconnect with old friends while making new ones.

For the past four years, I had the privilege of representing the Czech Republic as Consul General in New York. Those years were both dynamic and rewarding, and I believe that combining my experiences from both coasts will allow me to serve our community even better—building bridges, strengthening partnerships, and celebrating our Czech heritage together.

My own background is in economics, with a Master’s degree in Business and Marketing Management. This perspective inspires me to focus strongly on economic diplomacy, helping to create opportunities for Czech companies here in areas such as startups, creative industries, film, and gaming. At the same time, our Consulate will continue to support cultural exchange—whether through film screenings, concerts, or celebrations of Czech traditions. With the FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympics on the horizon, we will also be paying special attention to the role of sports in bringing people together.
