Application Deadline for Financial Grants for 2027

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles would like to kindly remind you that the deadline to submit the Application for a Financial Grant for 2027 is August 1, 2026
 

The application form is available on the website of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic: Application Form 

The application must be completed and submitted online by August 1, 2026. In addition, please send, as soon as possible after completion, the printed and signed original of the application to the following address:

First time applicants should also submit the copy of organization’s registration in the US and articles of incorporation or statutes.

Czech compatriot organizations registered in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, Wyoming, as well as unincorporated territories of American Samoa, Guan and Northern Marianas.

The step-by-step guidelines how to apply for a financial grant:

Step 1: Fill out the Application for Financial Grant online Application Form
Step 2: Print the application.
Step 3: Sign and stamp the application.
Step 4: Save the online version of the application.
Step 5: Send the printed and signed application to the Consulate General.

The application should include a detailed project description, timeline, and preliminary budget. Please note that all amounts in the application must be listed in Czech crowns (CZK).

The financial grants may be awarded for the following types of projects:  

1. Cultural and educational projects

This includes the organization of cultural, educational, and social events, discussions, lectures, Czech schools, publications or newsletters, magazines, books, and other activities that help maintain Czech cultural heritage abroad.  

2. Maintenance and repairs projects

This includes maintenance and repairs of Czech schools abroad, properties of Czech compatriot organizations, monuments, and other items of Czech heritage abroad.

Compatriot organizations are obligated to submit a final report and statement of account to the Consulate General by January 15 of the following year. If the implementation of a project extends into the following calendar year, unused funds may be carried over to the next year with prior approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
