Winton's Trains are in Los Angeles until May 18, 2017 at Museum of Tolerance

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic and the Museum of Tolerance cordially invite you to visit the unique and emotional exhibition about Sir Nicholas Winton who selflessly rescued Jewish children from Czechoslovakia in 1939. Exhibition is open to public until May 18, 2017 at Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles.

On Monday, April 24, 2017 on the occassion of Yom HaShoa Day of Holocaust Commemoration was in Museum of Tolerance unveiled special exhibition "Winton's Trains" in presence of its Producer, Mrs. Olga Menzelová, and Consul General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles H.E. Pavol Šepeľák.

This special event led by leadership of Museum of Tolerance and Simon Wiesenthal Center was attended by several distinguished guests, including Minister for Social Equality of State of Israel, H.E. Gila Gamliel, Former Mayor of Los Angeles, The Honorable Antonio R. Villaraigosa, and one of still living "Winton's children" Mr. David Lux, together with tens of holocaust survivors.

ABOUT EXHIBITION:

This internationally successful exhibition is the testimony of breathtaking story about Sir Nicholas Winton who rescued 669 mostly Jewish children from the pre-war Czechoslovakia, before the dark spot of our world history took place. It introduces some of the children N. Winton saved as they gather with him in Prague on the 70th anniversary of their historic rescue and retrace part of that lifesaving journey.
