New Film about the Pioneer of Art Nouveu Alponse Mucha at Costa Mesa

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles together with the Newport Beach Film Festival is delighted to invite you to an American premiere of a fascinating documentary "Mucha: The Story of an Artist Who Created a Style" (Svět podle Muchy, dir. Roman Vávra, 2020, 95 min.) on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Starlight Triangle Cinemas-Theater #2.
Q&A with the iconic street artist Mear One, who is featured in the movie, will follow the screening.
Feature film documentary "MUCHA:THE STORY OF AN ARTIST WHO CREATED STYLE" directed by Roman Vávra tells the story of legendary Czech artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), a pioneer of the Art Nouveau movement. In the 1960s, the hippie movement rediscovered his pictorial world, and his work is now reflected in street art, psychedelic rock posters, Japanese "manga" and in the style oof American Marvel Comics.
